Applicants must have completed a Bachelor's degree encompassing a minimum of 180 ECTS credits or equivalent academic qualifications from an internationally recognized university.

Students in their final year of undergraduate education may also apply and if qualified, receive a conditional acceptance. If you have not completed your studies, please include a written statement from the degree administration office (or equivalent department), confirming that you are enrolled in the final year of your education and giving your expected completion date - which should be before the start of the Master's program.

If you receive a conditional offer, you should present your degree certificate to your entry university before enrollment at the latest. Applicants following longer technical programs and who have completed courses equivalent to an amount of 180 ECTS, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Our Cybersecurity Master’s program is open to applicants with either a Bachelor of Science degree or who are in their final year of study in:

Applicants with reasonable knowledge of the fundamentals of computing and information sciences and technologies may also be considered. In some circumstances, relevant work experience may compensate for a lack of relevant degree. Such work experience should be justified in your letter of motivation.

As a result, applicants must provide proof of their English language proficiency. This is generally verified through an internationally recognized test such as TOEFL or IELTS. We advise all applicants considering submitting an application to take either a TOEFL or an IELTS test as they are accepted by all partner universities. Please note that the results of your test must be uploaded at the time of submitting an application. We will not accept late submissions of proof of English proficiency.

Some of the universities accept additional tests or exemptions. We have listed this information under “ University specific language tests and exemptions. Note that these exceptions are not accepted by all partner universities. Even though one university may accept some other test, your second preference entry or your preferred exit universities may not. For this reason, again, we urge all applicants to take a TOEFL or an IELTS.

Please note that most TOEFL and IELTS test results are only valid for 2 years from the test date.

General Language Requirements (Accepted by ALL our Universities)

An overall band score of at least 6.5, with a writing section of at least 6.0 and no section lower than 5.5, is required. IELTS tests are verified online by the Admissions office, submitting a photocopy of your test together with your application documents is therefore sufficient.

IELTS Indicator is not accepted as part of the general requirements but is accepted by many partner universities, see “ University-specific language tests and exemptions” below.

A total score of at least 92 (with writing section 22) is required. TOEFL iBT Home Edition is accepted as part of the general requirements.

TOEFL MyBest Scores are not accepted as part of the general requirements but are accepted by some partner universities, see “ University-specific language tests and exemptions” below.

You can upload the Test Taker Score Report given to you by ETS. The EIT Digital Master School Office verifies all tests online, so your appointment number and date of birth must be clearly visible. If you pay for ETS to send your results to the EIT Digital Master School: Institution code 0210, Dept 99, it will be easier for us to verify it, but it is not required.
