You enroll in the Master in Applied Physics (Nano, Quantum and Photonics track) or the Master in Electrical Engineering. Within these programs, you choose at least three optics/photonics electives, an industrial internship and a graduation project in optics or photonics, taking a deep dive into the most recent scientific and technological developments in the field. A number of additional MasterPlus activities are organized throughout the year to connect you to the industry*.

Curriculum
MasterPlus Optics & Photonics
The MasterPlus Optics & Photonics is fully embedded in either of the two regular Master's programs Applied Physics (AP), track Nano, Quantum and Photonics or Electrical Engineering (EE). Both masters are nominally two-year programs, corresponding to 120 Credit Points (CPs) in the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) units.
The Applied Physics program
Within the track Nano, Quantum and Photonics’, you delve into the physics behind cutting-edge photonics and modern optics, explore novel materials and uncover the potential of nanophotonics.
The Electrical Engineering program
You emphasize on technology and applications, and get in-depth understanding of photonic integration technology, including the design and fabrication of devices and circuits, and their application in sensors and communication systems.
