Introduction
Students of the Master's program Cybernetics and Robotics will acquire advanced knowledge of cybernetics, robotics, automatic control, diagnostics, and sensors in the compulsory subjects of the program and will also develop their creative engineering skills in the subjects of project type. Students study the general field called Cybernetics and Robotics and can choose courses from four available specializations. However, they are still able to gain an insight into other sectors of the program by selecting a required elective course (this is a denoted as a compulsory subject in one of four specializations), and also by the choice of their optional courses.
On the other hand, students of a general field - deliberately named the same way as the course itself - can direct their way through the program according to their own needs, by choosing their required elective courses in a so to speak zigzag manner - out of the compulsory subjects for all specializations. Thus, while maintaining the depth of knowledge in some areas, our students are also able to broaden their horizons in other fields, which helps them in their future career and opens them the doors to the rest of the world.
Continuity with the bachelor's program
The Master's course is loosely based on the undergraduate program Cybernetics and robotics, but it is open to graduates from other programs, faculties, and schools. A completed bachelor's degree in any program of a similar focus is the main requirement. Any lack of knowledge of students coming from other faculties or universities can be supplemented by elective courses during the first year of the program. This is thanks to the variety of available elective subjects. None of the fields requires specialization in the previous bachelor's course.

Admissions
Curriculum
Cybernetics and robotics - Study program
Provides a wider portfolio of knowledge than specialized fields, but it is not as thorough. Students pass the program by selecting an appropriate combination (zig-zag) of required elective subjects. These come from a list of compulsory subjects of the individual specialized fields.
Robotics
Specialized field
Specialization in advanced mobile and collective robotics and artificial intelligence. Deep knowledge of programming real-time systems and industrial information systems.
Systems and control
A specialized field
Specializing in automatic control of engineering, biological, medical, transport, and other real systems. Deep knowledge of optimal and robust control; estimation, filtering and detection; nonlinear systems, discrete event systems; dynamics and control networks.
Sensors and instrumentation
A specialized field
Specializing in advanced sensors, videometry, and non-contact measurement, data acquisition, and transfer, processing, and digitizing signals, and virtual instrumentation.
Aerospace systems
A specialized field
Specializing in avionics and space systems and technologies. Deep knowledge of aircraft instrumentation, flight control systems, integrated avionics, aviation radio systems, and space engineering.
