The International School of Tijuana opened its doors in August 1993, offering the Tijuana community preschool, primary, secondary and high school education. Later, over the years, offering higher-level studies were considered a viable option.
Thus, on September 4, 2000, the International Center for Higher Studies came into operation, as part of the International College of Tijuana, which was a response to the concern of a group of visionary people who, faced with the growing need to train quality professionals in different disciplines, he decided to contribute his grain of sand for the development of this region.
In its beginnings, CIES offered degrees in Business Administration, Public Accounting, and Marketing in the afternoon shift, since during the morning the classrooms were used to teach the levels of basic and upper secondary education.
Later, it was possible to have exclusive areas for each educational level, so it was possible to offer degrees in the morning and afternoon.
Over time, the International Center for Higher Studies has evolved steadily, and currently, nine degrees and one engineering are offered, and the institution has been given the name CIES University.
There are numerous challenges that arise for educational institutions and at CIES University we start from a humanist conception, in which the human being is the first and last reason for our work in the field of education.
We believe in individuality, which encourages us to guide our work trying to develop the knowledge and skills of our students to the maximum, respecting differences as human beings.
