Our goal is to integrate art and science and offer theoretical and practical experiences as a part of our students' overall education. The mandate of our dental technology program is to educate and train students towards expertise in dental technology. This technology includes denture design, laboratory procedures, and research and development in dental materials. Our program also focuses on secondary professional skills for students in the crossover program, so that they may increase future career opportunities.

This university was founded by Dr. Chen Tien-Chi in 1966 under the name - Chungtai Junior College. After almost thirty-nine years, on July 1, 1998, approval was granted to upgrade to a Medical Technology College. Later, on August 1, 2005, the college was upgraded to the University of Science and Technology. Over the years Chung Tai has grown, not only as a provider of technical expertise but as a sphere of humane and life-affirming academic study.

The university system is made up of a school of graduate studies, four-year and two-year colleges, and a five-year senior college program.
