Introduction

The Master in Psychopedagogy and Special Education is an academic program that is aimed at professionals in Differential or Special Education and professionals in related specialties. As such, it is aimed at training at an advanced level in the field of Psychopedagogy and Special Education. Its purpose is to train postgraduates with the ability to carry out basic and applied research in the discipline and to integrate interdisciplinary teams that contribute to its development.

It was created in 2013 by Rectory Decree 64/2013 and opens its first admission in March 2014. Currently, it is accredited for 3 years by the National Accreditation Agency (CNA).

The Program provides training delivered by specialists in each of the disciplines covered, through the integration of concepts, theoretical models, methods and experiences of scientific research. For this, it has the participation of active researchers in the field, 95% of them with a Ph.D. degree, forming an academic body that includes full-time professors from the University's Faculty of Education and associated professors, as well as Visiting Professors. external, whose work is complemented with the participation of invited academics from Chilean and foreign universities.
