Master in Linguistics Caro y Cuervo Institute
The Master in Linguistics at the Caro y Cuervo Institute is one of the oldest and most recognized graduate programs in Colombia in the area of language sciences. In 2014, the curriculum was updated taking into account the most recent disciplinary advances and the academic tradition of the Caro y Cuervo Institute.
The Master of Linguistics is interested in the study of phenomena such as linguistic variation, change and contact, the universals of language and languages, and disciplines such as experimental phonetics, phonology, computational linguistics and corpus linguistics. The program is focused on research, in such a way that it trains specialists capable of formulating a project in the field of linguistics, using computer tools to analyze and solve research problems, and frame the results within the most recent developments and theoretical discussions.
