The Entrepreneurial Way
Entrepreneurs are given maximum credits in today’s world because they have ways of doing things that make them perfect models as changemakers and innovators.
Entrepreneurial Mindset and tools can transfer successfully in business contexts that encompass and go beyond creating a new venture. We have designed the Entrepreneurial Leadership concentration as a learning experience fostering this transfer.
The Entrepreneurial Leadership concentration is geared toward budding entrepreneurs with a flair for leadership and the desire to stand out.
You will learn how to discover cutting-edge expertise to inspire great ideas and motivate people to their peak performance.
The program goes beyond the helicopter perspective, providing you with future-proof resilience and creativity to make your mark in global business.
Program structure: navigating the 7C’s
There are 7C’s that profile all master studies at BSL.
C1: Concentrations
We have designed 3 concentrations that give perspectives on Business Administration: Entrepreneurial Leadership, Finance & Sustainability.
C2: Core Curriculum
The core curriculum of our Master of International Business is packed with the skills that make a real difference in a Business program: Coding, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Entrepreneurial Skills, to name a few.
C3: Capstones
Capstones give space to your personal initiatives. You can opt for a paid internship in Switzerland, the development of your entrepreneurial project, a semester in a leading Chinese university, or even the preparation for the CFA Examination.
C4: Cross-curricular activities
You will have numerous opportunities to interact and work with students of other concentrations on activities out of the classroom, building on their field of specialization or yours.
C5: Career
Our Career Center will provide you with specific support in the search for your internship and future job.
C6: Community
BSL Community is made of Students and Professors, but also Entrepreneurs, Authors, Researchers, Alumni, Guest Speakers.

Experiential Learning is at the heart of our learning approach. It empowers you as a creator, from contributing to the Business Innovation Weeks to creating your own company.

Core curriculum: Tools for the Digital Transformation
Digitalization is the empowerment of individuals never seen in history. It has an essential impact on the skills and knowledge the job market of today and tomorrow is requiring. We have, therefore, made sure the core curriculum of the Master of International Business comes with a complete toolkit for digital transformation, including coding for business, data science, computational thinking, big data, and artificial intelligence.
No matter which field you are interested in or the area of work that life brings you to, these foundational skills will be ones that you can build upon to reach your goals.

Having access to internships will not only complement your studies, but it will give you the opportunity to enhance your network as well as to gain real-world experience prior to completing your degree and often increase your chances for employment when you successfully become a Master in the field of business.

Admissions
Scholarships and Funding
BSL is proud to offer partial scholarships to worthy candidates on a need and merit base, interested in leveraging business as a force for good! The Admissions Committee reserves the right to acquire financial statements to confirm the financial need of scholarship applicant. Applications will only be considered when submitted with a complete application file at the initial application stage. In return for a reduction in tuition fees, scholarship recipients will be able to make a positive contribution to the BSL community and have the opportunity to leverage their own talents.
Applicants are reviewed on an individual basis and are evaluated based on how they intend to contribute their talents to the community of students, faculty, and staff of BSL.
To apply for a scholarship, you should provide a Scholarship Letter together with your complete file at the initial application stage. Your Scholarship Letter should indicate whether you are applying for a scholarship based on merit or financial need. In case of the latter, you should emphasize your financial condition and the reasons why you need the funding. Regardless of whether you apply for a merit- or need-based scholarship, your letter should address the following:
- Why you believe you deserve the merit or need-based Scholarship
- Describe your talent(s) or contribution to BSL and its student community (this should link to specific activities that are provided in the attached process document)
- Describe why your talent(s) would be important and add value to BSL and its student community
- Outline your need and expectation in terms of a % of a scholarship and link this to the scope of contribution to the BSL community

- Personalized Career Advice: We want to help you find more than a job. We will encourage you to craft a meaningful and fulfilling professional path, based on your interests, passions, and strengths. Throughout the program, our dedicated career counselor will work with you, providing one-on-one career advice, job search guidance, internship support, resume writing consultation, and recommendations for suitable opportunities.
- Jobs and Internships Online Platform: From day one on campus, you will have access to our internal job and internship search platform which allows you to browse opportunities in Switzerland and abroad. The platform is updated regularly with opportunities that come through a broader community of alumni, partnering organizations, social enterprises, and other organizations.
- Guest Speakers and Company Visits: You will expand your network of contacts and will meet industry experts through regular guest speaker visits in class. You will take part in organized visits of companies and NGOs in the region which provide an excellent opportunity to gain insight into how different organizations work, what specific challenges each industry faces, and how different roles and functions work together.
- Global Alumni Network: You will become part of a global network of students and alumni from over 60 nationalities. Many of our graduates have become entrepreneurs and successfully launched their businesses. Others have chosen a corporate career in multinationals or a service-oriented path in the public sector. Regardless of which way you go, you will be encouraged to reach out to the network as you craft your future employment.
Program Leaders
Program delivery
Number of courses: 18 (Coursework is completed over the first 1 year)
Workload: 4-5 half-day classes per week (Mon-Fri) plus independent learning
Experiential Learning: Four 1-week long Business Innovation Weeks (BIW)
Number of terms: 4 terms per academic year. Each term takes 10 weeks (9 weeks course work, 1 week BIW), plus 2 terms full-time for the capstone
