Bloomfield College

Students may choose to earn a bachelor's and a master's degree in just five years. Students will major in an appropriate field (Biology, Chemistry, English, History, or Mathematics) to receive their Bachelor’s Degree. As part of the dual degree, they will receive their Master’s Degree with an initial teaching certification from New Jersey State approved Masters in Early Childhood Education (PreK-3); Elementary Education (K-6) and Secondary Education (K-12, concentrating on 9-12). In addition, students may seek Middle School Endorsement (5-8) with subject specialization.

5-Year Masters of Teaching Program

Bloomfield’s Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education is designed to advance the teaching skills and knowledge of those dedicated to working in early childhood education. The Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Education allows candidates who already possess a CEAS or standard teaching certificate to earn a teaching endorsement in early childhood education by following a core sequence of courses (5.5 CUs = 22 credits). This core sequence of courses fulfills the New Jersey Department of Education requirements for the early childhood endorsement.

Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education

With a Master of Science in Accounting, you’ll gain advanced knowledge in taxation, cost accounting, capital management, money, and banking that will make you more competitive as you enter the business world. This degree will help prepare and equip you to sit for the rigorous CPA exam. Undergraduate students can combine this program with their accounting bachelor’s to be prepared to sit for the CPA exam upon completion.
