Introduction

Developing and controlling AI

Are you interested in how the digital tools and machines of the future work and are controlled? Machine learning is largely the basis on which digital giants such as OpenAI, Google, and Meta build their technologies, for example, ChatGPT. Therefore, knowledge in the field is in demand all over the world and in more and more industries.

What will you study?

The Master’s programme in AI and Machine Learning provides you with both theoretical and practical knowledge. It is constantly evolving to keep up with the rapid developments in the field and match the growing need for civil engineers with the right skills. You will take in-depth courses in AI and machine learning, such as Bayesian statistics and security in AI systems. You will take classes in digital ethics and entrepreneurship, research methodology and a project course, where you will put your knowledge into practice. There are also elective courses where you can immerse yourself in what interests you most, and in the last semester you do your degree project.

BTH works closely with industry and business, but also with other areas of education, which means that your education will be in step with developments. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with companies or public authorities on projects, which will give you practical experience already during your studies, and may also lead to summer jobs, extra jobs during your studies or perhaps employment after graduation.
