About
Beijing Jiaotong University is a national key university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education and now is jointly supported by the Ministry of Education, the China Railway Corporation and Beijing Municipal Government. BJTU is one of the first universities selected into the “National 211 Project” and the “985 Strength Discipline Innovation Platform” project, one of the first institutions authorized to confer master’s and doctoral degrees.
Introduction
Found in 2003, the School of Software Engineering (SSE) became one of the National Pilot Software Engineering Schools among 37 universities first accredited by Ministry of Education. Aiming at being a top-ranked international school and educating innovative software engineers, School of Software Engineering offers students unique education by emphasizing on industry-oriented, real-world project capacity, team spirit and hands-on practical experience to match industry requirements. SSE has established a concrete cooperative relationship with reputed universities and well-known enterprises from all over the world，taking bilingual teaching as one of the core factors to internationalization. SSE won the evaluation of national talent training model Innovation Experimental area, national excellent teaching team, Beijing experimental Teaching Demonstration center.
Since its inception, School of Software Engineering(SSE) insists on reform and innovation. SSE has established cooperative relations with 24 famous universities and 34 well-known enterprises, actively carrying out joint programs, double degree programs and student exchange programs with European and American universities. International students and Chinese students study in the same class without limitation in course selection. SSE’s graduates, most of whom work in government departments, financial institutions, IT enterprises and research institutes, keep the employment rate 100% for eight consecutive years.
