"SCIENCE, ART, FREEDOM" It is a trilogy that summarizes the desideratum of the university in general and of our faculty in particular, it is the sum of three ideas; a force that defines our trajectory and our destiny through time. Science We want first of all the scientific truth, over and above racial, political, religious, or sectarian prejudices. We want a coherent university, aware of the present and the challenges of the future, a promoter of progress and social well-being, that is not subject to systems or ideologies. Art We accept the man as intelligence and heart, material and spiritual, individual and social, immanent and transcendent, preoccupied with the temporary task but eager to become eternal, knowing that he must enjoy the goods of the earth since in them is not the final term of his existence that seeks beauty, truth, goodness, and justice for himself and for all Liberty We want a democratic university, but united and disciplined, loving its identity but willing to change, interested in knowledge but without forgetting its mission of guiding the community in which it is immersed in the search for truth, justice, and progress.
