Introduction

The Fourth Industrial Revolution has changed the way we work. It changed the frontier between humans and machines. We now work with AI, ML and Big Data Analytics. We work on digital platforms. Understanding how technologies will impact our ways of working is essential for determining whether we can be able to transition from declining occupations to the jobs of the future.

The Master in Business Analytics equips leaders with the skills to derive value from a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving in management contexts. This program is tailored for students and professionals aiming to tackle decision-making challenges through the analysis of both raw and processed data.

The two-year master’s degree is a comprehensive program designed to equip students and professionals with the necessary data and analytical skills to cope with international managerial or senior administration roles. Post completion of the program, the learners will be awarded a postgraduate diploma in Business Analytics from Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

The master's program is taught in English and has a normal duration of 2 academic years (4 semesters) leading to the accumulation of 120 ECTS. This Master allows the graduates to pursue their education at the doctoral level.

The structure of the master’s program is modular (one course takes approximately 3 weeks). Each course is taught by a professor from Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Computer Science) and a professor from a foreign university (Humboldt-University of Berlin, University of Glasgow, University of Twente, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid etc.).

The students enrolling in the master’s degree will undertake core courses on Digital Transformation, Predictive analytics, Algorithms and Data Structures as well as Strategic Management of Business Models. Students will be able to translate vast data sets into strategic business decisions, becoming a pivotal asset to any data-driven organization. After the master’s degree, they can take on roles such as Management Consultant, Analytics Manager, Automation and Digital Transformation Manager, Digital Strategy Consultant, Customer Insights Manager, Financial Analyst or Supply Chain Analyst.
