Introduction

The Master in Fashion Sustainability & Industry Evolution integrates cultural and design disciplines, examining the entire production cycle (Design, Production, Sales and Distribution, Defection, Return Goods – Shipping, Storage), the business models, legal areas, communication, and scientific study areas that are in continuous evolution. In this context, the sociology of cultural processes and the history of fashion have a strong focus on sustainability, addressing it both in the contemporary social and communicative context and in recent history to analyze it concretely. The competence in the merit of materials, processes, and production technologies includes international certifications that affect the various sectors of the sector and the design part that analyzes the system in its entirety and faces the challenge of the tangible application of the skills acquired.

Product culture, which is the basis of the concept of sustainability, is at the center of the Master which implements an approach to the system in its entirety since the solutions for complex problems involve skills ranging from environmental to social and economic factors. The student’s planning is compared with specific themes that require a creative thinking and problem-solving approach and a vast wealth of knowledge. The complexity of the processes involves the construction within companies of a multiplicity of specific skills based on a scientific, solid, and clear approach that is part of the course, which main learning objective is to design new professional figure aware of responsible innovation processes across the economic, environmental and social fields.

Duration

The course duration is one academic year and attendance is mandatory. However, to be accepted at the final assessments students must have at least 80% proven attendance.
