Introduction
The Master of Art (Hons) Degree finishes a 2-year course in Interior Design.
It offers a comprehensive study programme which includes both theoretical and practical subjects preparing the future graduate to work as an interior architect. The study programme includes a gradual introduction to issues related to the creation of interior architecture, starting with the basics of interior design, ergonomics, principles of designing spatial forms and compositions, creation of functional systems and ending with specialised design of specific spaces: residential, service and public utility, as well as design of trade fair stands and exhibition interiors.
During the course of study, the student acquires specialist knowledge for his/her future profession, and also expands this knowledge with a basis of knowledge in the field of architecture, which is strongly linked to interior design. In order to be a fully educated specialist, the student supplements his/her knowledge with information on the history of art and architecture, art classes and material science.
The study programme supports the individual development of not only the practical design personality but also the artistic personality.
