The University of Sydney
Sydney International Student Award
- Scholarship award: 20% of tuition
- Requirements:
- Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries
- Apply for any program in the University of Sydney (except MBA and EMBA)
- Submit a personal statement
- Fields of study: Architecture, design and planning; Arts and social sciences; Business; Economics; Education and social work; Engineering and computer science; Law; Medicine and Health; Music; Science
Sydney Scholars India Equity Scholarship
- Scholarship award: $100,000 for tuition fees, living expenses, flights, textbooks, and health cover
- Requirements:
- Be an international student
- Be a new student
- Be an Indian citizen and current resident of slum communities in Delhi, India, where Asha Community Health and Development (ASHA) Society works
- Additional requirements from ASHA
Sydney Scholars India Scholarship Program
- Scholarship award: up to $20,000
- Number of winners: 25
- Requirements:
- Be an international student
- Be a new student
- Be an Indian citizen and current resident of India
Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarships Scheme
- Scholarship award: up to $40,000
- Requirements:
- be an international student
- have applied for a coursework Master's degree that is a CRICOS registered award program usually delivered onshore at the University of Sydney
University of Adelaide
Global Citizens Scholarship
- Scholarship award: 15-30% reduction toward tuition fees
- Requirements:
- Be an international student
- Meet the minimum score (5.5/7.0 GPA for 15% reduction and 6.5/7 for 30%)
Global Academic Excellence Scholarship
- Scholarship award: 50% reduction toward tuition fees
- Requirements:
- Be an international student
- Achieve a minimum GPA of 6.9/7
University of Queensland
Graduate School Scholarships
- Scholarship award: $35,000 living stipend per year
- Duration: 3.5 years
- Requirements: Be enrolled in a Master of Philosophy or other research-focused degree

Australian National University
HDR Fee Remission Merit Scholarship
- Scholarship award: Full tuition
- Requirements:
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate research program
- Be an international student
- Have been ranked as part of a competitive scholarship process for another ANU or external scholarship
Note: There's no separate application; you're automatically considered if you're eligible
Flinders University
Flinders International Postgraduate Research Scholarship
- Scholarship award: Full tuition, $33,990 of living allowance per year, and up to $1,485 of establishment allowance
- Number of winners: 4
- Requirements:
- Be a citizen of any foreign country except New Zealand
- Enroll in a research Master's program
- Satisfy all entry requirements for a higher degree by research, including the English proficiency levels
Governmental scholarships
Australia Awards Scholarships
These scholarships are meant to help students from participating countries contribute to the development of their homes.
- Scholarship award: Full tuition, flight fees, contribution to education and living costs
- Requirements:
- Be a citizen of one of the participating countries
- Enroll at participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education institutions
- Not have received a long-term Australia Award in the previous 4 years
- Provide an academic English language test result
- Complete a Master's degree in 2 years
If you're from the Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, or Vanuatu, you can apply for Australia Awards Pacific Scholarships and enroll at participating Institutions and Vocational and Education Training Institutions.
Australia for ASEAN scholarships
- Scholarship award:
- Return air travel
- A one-off establishment allowance on arrival
- Full tuition fees
- Contribution to living expenses
- Introductory academic program
- Overseas student health cover for the duration of the scholarship
- Supplementary academic support
- Fieldwork allowance for research students and masters by coursework, which has a compulsory fieldwork component
- A place in the Indo-Pacific Emerging Leaders Program
- Requirements:
- Be a citizen of one of the ASEAN countries
- Enroll in a program in the priority areas (Maritime, Connectivity, Economic, Sustainable Development Cooperation)
- Not have received a long-term Australia Award in the previous 4 years
- Provide an academic English language test result
- Complete a Master's degree in 2 years

The Rotary Foundation
The Rotary Peace Fellowship is intended for leaders with experience in peace and development who are dedicated to community and international service and committed to the pursuit of peace.
- Program: Master of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Queensland
- Scholarship award: Full tuition, room and board, transportation, and field-study expenses
- Number of winners: Up to 50
- Requirements:
- Be proficient in English
- Be an international student
- Have a Bachelor's degree
- Have a strong commitment to cross-cultural understanding and peace, as shown through professional and academic achievements and personal or community service
- Have the potential for leadership
- Have at least three years of full-time relevant experience in peace or development work
Human Rights Scholarship
University of Melbourne
- Scholarship award: Full tuition, up to $94,200 for living costs, $3,000 relocation grant
- Number of winners: 2
- Field of study: Human Rights
- Requirements:
- Enroll for a research Master's at the University of Melbourne
- Be committed to the peaceful advancement of respect for human rights that extends beyond academic studies (such as voluntary work and/or work experience)
- Not have previously received a Human Rights Scholarship

- Scholarship award: $48,000

First Nations Cancer Scholarship
The First Nations Cancer Scholarship Program, funded by the Australian Government through Cancer Australia, aims to expand the network of Indigenous individuals who play leading roles and contribute to cancer control, including through research.
- Scholarship award: Up to $120,000 per year over three years and up to $5,000 per year in tailored academic and wellbeing support
- Number of winners: 4
- Requirements: Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent

Veterans' Fund Indigenous Graduate Scholarships
American Australian Association
- Scholarship award: Up to $40,000
- Requirements:
- Be an honorably discharged post 9/11 military veteran from the US
- Be a US citizen or permanent resident
- Be a recognized member of a Native American, Alaskan Native, or Native Hawaiian community
- Be undertaking or planning to undertake a Master's at an accredited educational institution in Australia
- Be studying or planning to study for at least one year full-time
