Admission qualifications

An official university degree or other degree issued by a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area that qualifies graduates for admission to a master's degree in the issuing country. Applicants with degrees obtained in education systems outside the European Higher Education Area do not need to homologate their degrees, but the URV must verify that they represent a level of education equivalent to the corresponding Spanish official university degree and qualify graduates for admission to postgraduate education in the issuing country. Under no circumstances does admission as a result of this process mean official recognition of the degree or its acceptance for any purpose other than admission to the master's degree course.

To be admitted, students require bachelor's or pre-EHEA degrees in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, chemistry, physics, mechanical engineering, physical science, chemical science, etc. Graduates in fields related to thermodynamics engineering are also eligible for admission.

Specific optional documentation

As well as the compulsory documentation required for pre-enrolment on the programme, students may also submit the following documents:

  • Proof of competence in English
  • Proof of other merits: awards, grants, etc.
  • Proof of work experience

Selection criteria

The Academic Committee of the master's degree will decide which applicants can be admitted. The committee will base their decision on the following criteria:

  • Evaluation of the academic record
  • Evaluation of the curriculum vitae
  • Suitability of the educational qualifications
  • Evaluation of work experience
  • Evaluation of competence in English
  • Other merits: awards, grants, etc.
