The College At Brockport State University Of New York

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) is a 39-credit program of graduate professional study for management and leadership in public service and is accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA).

Curriculum

The MPA curriculum embodies the NASPAA universal competencies of:

  1. Lead and manage in diverse organizational contexts.
  2. Participate and contribute to public policy in the student's chosen emphasis: Public, Health Care, or Non-Profit Management.
  3. Analyze to make informed decisions.
  4. Articulate the public service concerns associated with the distribution of scarce resources.
  5. Communicate productively in settings characterized by diversity.

Admission Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum undergraduate 3.0 GPA
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • GRE General Test score report for applicants with less than an undergraduate 3.0 GPA
  • Statement of objectives
  • Current résumé
