This title covers, from an interdisciplinary approach, all the constitutive aspects of the concept of Language and Literature in the contrastive field (especially English / Spanish), from the strictly theoretical to those of methodological and practical order, with a special emphasis on the contrastive analysis . It aims to train qualified specialists according to the demands of public administrations in the analysis of Language and Literature, that is, professionals who study and investigate, contextualize, classify, preserve, value, sensitize and raise awareness of the importance of Study of Languages and Literatures to the population and disseminate knowledge about linguistic-literary goods.
The master is conceived with a mixed, professional and research orientation. The teaching modules (which involve theory and practice, classroom and laboratory practices, etc.) have been conceived as a first level of Advanced Academic Training, reaching a Specialization acquired by students based on their curricular development in relation to completion of the courses (modules) and of the orientation of his Master's Final Project. In the Master thesis, depending on the profile of the students, a theme can be developed within what would be understood as "Basic Research" or as "Applied and / or professionalizing Research". The qualifications required to access the Master are: Bachelor of Philology (especially Hispanic and English), Bachelor of Philosophy and Letters, Bachelor of Humanities, Bachelor of Translation and Interpretation, Diploma Teaching (in equivalent specialties), Graduates in the same disciplines and other more recent, significant case in Cultural Management.
They may also have access Graduates in Pedagogy, Audiovisual Communication, Advertising, Tourism and related specialties within the Arts, Humanities, Social and Legal Sciences that are interested in developing their professional activity in any of the many manifestations that are part of the Philology and in the fields and activities linked to it.
The Master has an academic and research orientation, while offering the student an advanced training that comes to complete the degree studies and enables him to teach and, on the other hand, provides the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to undertake an investigation in any of the topics related to the Master.
Students will be able to apply linguistic knowledge to the professional world. In this sense, although the traditional way out has been and continues to be teaching in public or private schools and language academies, there is currently a growing diversification in other sectors related to the so-called 'cultural industries':

- b. Literary criticism and technical advice in literary agencies.
- C. Tourism, public relations and international relations.
- d. Cultural advice and management in documentation tasks in publishers, in collaboration with magazines and cultural supplements, and the coordination and planning of cultural activities in companies, foundations or public institutions.
