is the Italian word for “hand”. Nanoscience is the study of structures and materials on the scale of nanometers, it is related to the possibility of handling matter at the nanoscale. MANO is a 2- year Master’s Degree which is part of the Laurea Magistrale in Fisica.

This course will lead you across an exciting path in the study of Condensed Matter Physics, with a particular emphasis on the properties of nanostructures.

The learning areas are organized into teaching blocks, including the thesis activity, corresponding to 120 ECTS total, in two years time. Students will become familiar with the properties of condensed matter, the relevant predictive models, the main experimental and theoretical/ computational tools and the quantum effects which become predominant at the nano- level....
