The Masters Degree Programme in Nanotechnology Engineering trains engineers in the design, development and control of complex systems based on Nanotechnology. Starting from their basic background in engineering, students will be introduced to the basic tools necessary to master systems operating at the nanoscale with the purpose of conceiving, designing and characterizing micro and nano devices. The course is highly interdisciplinary, involving nanoscale physics, advanced chemistry and microscopy in combination with courses and laboratories devoted to the design of micro- and nano-devices for different application in industry, biotechnology and nano-electronics. Students can choose one of the following three programmes: Micro/Nano Device Design and Technology Biotechnology Nano-electronics The programme addresses multi- and inter-disciplinary subjects to provide students with the flexibility required to understand, design and handle applications at the micro- and nano-scale.
