The interdisciplinary character of the programme supports employability of the graduates in all areas related to environmental protection and engineering. The programme provides students with comprehensive knowledge of environmental protection and engineering. The study involves areas of atmosphere, water and soil protection. The programme particularly focuses to education of experts specialized in waste production both in industrial and municipal areas. The programme also concentrates on prevention and minimization of waste production, on waste utilization and reprocessing, waste removal and assessment of environmental impacts. An important part of the programme is devoted to water technologies and air protection technologies. The study programme “Chemistry, Technology and Materials“ (CTM) consists of two specializations, viz. “Chemistry and Chemical Technology“ (CCT) and “Materials Chemistry and Technology“ (MCT). This programme is designed as a follow-up master programme (aiming at a master degree with the Czech title Ing., which is equivalent to the title MSc.) continuing the education of graduates with bachelor degree (Bc.) from the bachelor programme “Chemistry and Technology“ obtained at the UCT Prague or from an equivalent bachelor programme at a university or comparable institution abroad.
