In 2012, it was approved as the pilot program for the project of comprehensive discipline reform in Hubei Province. The program of educational technology includes two innovative teaching and research platforms: National Engineering Research Center for e-Learning and National Experimental Teaching Center for Arts, making it top-ranked program among more than 200 other institutions that offer the same discipline in China.
