The Master in Fashion Sustainability & Industry Evolution integrates cultural and design disciplines, examining the entire production cycle (Design, Production, Sales and Distribution, Defection, Return Goods – Shipping, Storage), the business models, legal areas, communication, and scientific study areas that are in continuous evolution. In this context, the sociology of cultural processes and the history of fashion have a strong focus on sustainability, addressing it both in the contemporary social and communicative context and in recent history to analyze it concretely. The competence in the merit of materials, processes, and production technologies includes international certifications that affect the various sectors of the sector and the design part that analyzes the system in its entirety and faces the challenge of the tangible application of the skills acquired. Product culture, which is the basis of the concept of sustainability, is at the center of the Master which implements an approach to the system in its entirety since the solutions for complex problems involve skills ranging from environmental to social and economic factors. The student’s planning is compared with specific themes that require a creative thinking and problem-solving approach and a vast wealth of knowledge. The complexity of the processes involves the construction within companies of a multiplicity of specific skills based on a scientific, solid, and clear approach that is part of the course, which main learning objective is to design new professional figure aware of responsible innovation processes across the economic, environmental and social fields. -

The existing economic system is based on the "take, make and dispose" approach powered mostly by fossil fuels. The circular economy aims to keep products, materials and other resources at their highest utility and value. The aim is to decouple economic growth from the consumption of finite natural resources by closing the loops of product life cycles. Ideally, the system in which resources are endlessly circulated into goods and services is waste-free and powered by renewable energy systems. In this Master's programme, you will learn how to save resources in different situations by, for example, replacing goods with services by increasing the utilisation of information technology. You will also learn to create sharing economy based solutions which are built on the abilities of individuals and communities. -
