The program focuses on the study of deterioration processes in service of all types of components and materials, as a result of the action of mechanical loads, extreme temperatures or aggressive environments, as well as the presence of defects and the interaction of all these actions. Another important aspect that is dealt with during the course is the assessment of the existing defects and the calculation of the life of the components in the different service situations (under static and dynamic loads, at low and high temperatures, in the presence of environments of greater or less aggressive) as well as the analysis of failures of varied real components, in order to propose corrective measures to prevent their repetition.
