The objective is two-fold: to train students in the scientific study of speech, language, human communication and related disorders and to prepare them for the primary professional activities of speech and language therapists, namely, counselling and prevention, assessment and diagnosis, support and follow-up of patients with disorders affecting the voice, speech, spoken and written language and the ability to swallow or communicate.
