HTW Berlin and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences jointly run the international master program ConREM - Construction and Real Estate Management.
It is designed for professionals who wish to manage international projects for building construction and real estate in the future. Therefore it is mainly addressed to professionals in the field of architecture and civil engineering.
First-year studies of ConREM (60 ECTS during semesters 1 and 2) will be organized by Metropolia (Helsinki). Second-year studies (semesters 3 and 4) will be in HTW Berlin.
ConREM provides you a combination of engineering, economics, management, and communication. Specific contents, like project development and project management as well as lifecycle management, and general subjects, such as soft skills and leadership, are taught - all in context of international business. The program prepares graduates for the different occupations related to the real estate, government, and construction management sectors. In 2015, the program was awarded a RICS accreditation, which means that the program answers to the highest standards in real estate education.
Real Estate and Construction Management at KTH
The curriculum of the program covers four terms of full-time study. Within the program, it is possible to specialize in Construction Project Management, Real Estate Development and Land Law or Building and Real Estate Economics. A few of the conditionally elective courses in Real Estate Development and Land Law specialization are taught in Swedish.
The first term consists mainly of foundation courses for all students, after which it is possible to specialize according to educational background and interest. In the final term, students will prepare a final degree project. The degree project is a detailed study of a subject area within the scope of the program. This provides the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired from the courses in a scientific manner to a problem chosen within the research profile of the track. The degree project may be carried out at a company in Sweden or abroad, or students may work independently in an area of their own choice, as long as it falls within the research profile of the track.
