Three core modules: race-critical theory, research methods, and colonialism, conflict and liberal intervention. Optional modules covering topics such as ethnic cleansing and forced migration; ethnicity and social policy; human rights and international issues; gender, race, and conflict; migration and the European labor market; migration and education; representation and resistance; social movements and international solidarity. The course combines perspectives from international relations, ethics, and conflict resolution to reflect critically upon the wide range of social, political and economic issues associated with peace and political violence. A week-long Mediation Summer School provides an opportunity to develop practical skills in the area of conflict resolution and mediation.
