This program is taught in FRENCH. The master’s degree in economic and social policy, representing 120 credits, provides a solid specialist training, enabling effective integration into the public and private spheres. Profile of the programme The master’s degree in economic and social policy provides advanced training based on solid management fundamentals (economic policy, tax law, public and administrative law, etc.) at both national and European levels, providing a thorough understanding of decision-making, especially in public institutions. The curriculum includes: A first year of 60 credits divided into 20 general education credits (Belgian society and institutions, IPP tax law, internal policy of the European Union, public and administrative law, discrimination analysis), 30 credits in economic and social policy (economic policy, SEC national accounting, sustainable development and production, social economics, social policy and labour economics) and a specialized module of 10 credits (seminars in economic policy and social policy), plus optional language courses. A second year of 60 credits built around a common core of 54 credits (dissertation, internship, local authority finance and accounting, environmental policy and legislation, tax law/VAT/ISoc, employment policies, labour and social security law, education in social action and public procurement legislation), a choice of specialist modules worth 6 credits, plus optional language classes.
