Physiotherapy is the study of movement. Students of physiotherapy learn to advise, educate and rehabilitate people who have suffered injuries or are recovering from surgery. Physiotherapists may also help people with chronic or neurological issues that affect their movement to aid in increasing their mobility and comfort.

Education in the United States is mainly provided by the public sector, with control and funding coming from three levels: state, local, and federal, in that order. The Occupational Therapy Program at Barry University offers an innovative curriculum that leads to a Master of Science degree and prepares you for certification as a registered occupational therapist. On-campus occupational therapy courses are scheduled on two weekends each month in the fall, spring, and summer semesters, so that adults may continue to work or raise their families while preparing for a professional career. The program integrates face to face and distance education.
