The FUSION-EP master programme has been selected in the list of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) funded by the European Union. From the academic year starting in Sept. 2020, fifteen scholarships (including the participation fees and a monthly allowance) will be awarded to the applicants with the highest profile. Among these scholarships, about twelve will be awarded to applicants from Partner Countries. The FUSION-EP program, created in 2006, aims at training the next generations of magnetic confinement fusion physicists and engineers. Since the academic year 2019/2020, FUSION-EP shifted the coordination from the University of Gent to Aix-Marseille University in order to put forward new objectives. The FUSION-EP program is organized in two periods of increasing specialization in two different countries until the 3rd semester's distinct track possibilities: Fusion Sciences and Fusion Technology. A very comprehensive insight into the cutting-edge R&D in nuclear fusion is guaranteed by the broad range of expertise available in the Consortium. -

École Polytechnique's Ingénieur Polytechnicien Program is a unique 4-year program: 3 years to obtain the Engineering degree and 1 year to obtain École Polytechnique’s Diploma. This multidisciplinary education is in large part what gives École Polytechnique graduates their high potential for evolution in their careers. It prepares them to implement soft skills during their careers. It also prepares them to practice different managing professions. Thus Polytechnicians are well-suited to evolve into high-level positions in management and coordination. General studies are offered during the first two years of the program, where students acquire a solid scientific foundation in six subjects out of the eight offered by the Academic Departments: Pure and Applied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mechanics, Economics and Computer Science. -

The proposed master program aims at training students in fundamental, both theoretical and experimental, physics with applications in photonics, nanotechnology, and quantum technologies. This combination, innovative at the level of a master program, is well-aligned with priority investments in research at the European and international level, with thematic areas of the growing demand for highly trained students, able to embark on a doctoral program. This two-year master program, fully taught in English for international students, is part of the Graduate School of Sciences of the University Bourgogne Franche-Comté (UBFC). It consists of both lessons and research project (3 months during the first year) / internship (5 months during the second year). This training program will be based on the internationally highly recognized research activities of the underlying laboratories ICB, Dijon and FEMTO-ST, Besançon. -

The CompuPhys master provides a comprehensive program in fundamental physics (quantum physics, light-matter interaction, condensed matter physics), in numerical simulation methods and in data sciences. Concrete applications to physics of life, to astrophysics, to physics of the atmosphere and of the environment, and to quantum information, are studied in the training program. A large part of the program is dedicated to active learning methods (practice-based learning, project-based learning, problem-based learning, and flipped classroom) and the use of digital tools. The goal of the master’s program is to train physicists with high skill level in numerical methods, programmers specialized in numerical simulations of physical systems, and data scientists specialized in physical data issued from sensors and networks of physical devices. -
