The former is best suited for music professionals and educators with various concentrations. The latter trains young artists for a career in opera. The Tri-Cities Opera provides the opera students with a professional resident artist program, allowing for immense growth in personal, professional and creative endeavors through performing with TCO. Prospective students are encouraged to apply early for a limited number of assistantships, scholarships and awards. Our Master of Music program consists of five concentrations: Composition Conducting History and Literature Instrumental Performance Vocal Performance There is also a separate Opera track for those who seek special focus on the theatrical opportunities of music. Whichever path you pursue, we have over thirty experienced faculty to illuminate the subject and open you up to new experiences. We have a symphony orchestra, wind ensemble, and jazz ensemble, as well as three choral groups and an African Dance/drumming ensemble. The graduate music program is small; students receive personal attention from faculty and quality performance opportunities. Our graduates have gone on to perform in major opera houses around the world.
