NucPhys is a two-year Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree Course in Nuclear Physics. The main objective of this master is to offer the student advanced training, specialized and multidisciplinary, aimed at promoting their initiation in research tasks in the field of theoretical and computational chemistry. Computational modeling on a molecular scale has been constituted, over the last twenty years, as a tool that covers, in a transversal way, many areas of knowledge: from biochemistry to new materials, going through all the disciplines of chemistry and emerging areas as nanoscience.

Computational simulations have become an important branch that gives rise to a third pillar of science that allows theoretical and experimental studies to overcome the limitations inherent in them. This master's degree aims to take graduates beyond their bachelor’s degree and acquire a higher level of expertise in chemical engineering. Graduates will be highly trained in designing products and processes related to chemical engineering. They will also have a strong professional grounding because their work placement and master's theses will be conducted primarily in the chemical industry (i.e. in companies and organisations outside the university).

The creation of this postgraduate program has two main objectives: a) Establish a European standard of excellence in theoretical and computational chemistry which includes knowledge of methods, applications for use and programmability. b) To promote international mobility of students theoretical and computational chemistry both at the level of master and doctoral degrees.

Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling (TCCM) play a key role in the development of modern chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, physics and material science. This has motivated six Universities leaders in the key disciplines of the field to set a consortium and offer a joint TCCM Master course. The creation of this joint Master has two main objectives: * establish a European standard for Master training; * promote the international mobility of Master studentsin the TCCM field. This idea has successfully attracted other 41 European higher education Institutions which have decided to join the TCCM Master consortium and has convinced the European Chemistry Thematic Network (ECTN) to support the initiative.The TCCM Master is meant to prepare experts in using and developing molecular sciences computational techniques to either work with innovative pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and new-materials industries or to follow future doctoral studies in Chemistry, Physics, Life or Material Sciences.
