Programme outlineMedia Management focuses on the development and commercial operation of media products and services aimed at a consumer market. The programme therefore consists of courses offering relevant knowledge regarding technology, content, production, distribution, market understanding and enterprise management in the media industry and related areas.The programme is structured by focusing on two main areas, one with technical courses in media production with emphasis on video, printing, web and interactive media. The other area is concerned with media management and involves one course given by the Stockholm School of Economics in close relation with media industry, including both guest lecturers and project work. The programme is multidisciplinary, combining media technology and computer science with economics, management and business development. It is aimed at students on a Bachelor’s level wishing to acquire the knowledge and skills to manage and develop enterprises in the media industry or using media communication in their business activities. It will also provide a background for PhD studies in this field.Degree projectThe final semester is devoted to the degree project, which is focused on using scientific methodology to solve a problem within the scope of the programme.
