The Interuniversity Master in Integrity and Durability of Materials, Components and Structures jointly proposed by the Universities of Burgos, Cantabria and Oviedo intends to confer on engineering graduates specialized training in the analysis of behavior in service of materials and industrial components, from its sizing and calculation, going through the selection of the appropriate material or materials and their manufacturing, union and protection processes. The program focuses on the study of deterioration processes in service of all types of components and materials, as a result of the action of mechanical loads, extreme temperatures or aggressive environments, as well as the presence of defects and the interaction of all these actions. Another important aspect that is dealt with during the course is the assessment of the existing defects and the calculation of the life of the components in the different service situations (under static and dynamic loads, at low and high temperatures, in the presence of environments of greater or less aggressive) as well as the analysis of failures of varied real components, in order to propose corrective measures to prevent their repetition. -
