In order to guide people in the right direction, systems of law and regulations are established. The context in which such guidelines are used includes everything from education systems to the restaurant business to international politics.

Education in the United Kingdom is a devolved matter with each of the countries of the United Kingdom having separate systems under different governments: the UK Government is responsible for England, and the Scottish Government, the Welsh Government and the Northern Ireland Executive are responsible for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, respectively.

The International Master’s in Advanced Research in Criminology (IMARC) is the only existing 2-year programme in criminology that focuses on border crossing, security and social justice. The joint programme is offered by four different Universities in Europe.

A major theme in addressing these current issues is the question of how to organize security as well as safeguard human rights. IMARC addresses the need for criminological expertise in the context of a common European criminal justice area coupled with challenges of internal and external border control and wider international developments.... Masters in Law Studies in England in United Kingdom. Course summary This course gives you both a Qualifying Law Degree and the Legal Practice Course (LPC). The course is geared to professional practice, and you can start your training to become a solicitor as soon as you graduate. From the start of the course, you will be given an introduction to the skills required by lawyers. This prepares you for the clinical experience in Years 3 and 4, where you will work with real clients on real cases, offering you invaluable experience which will make you more attractive to future employers. Fees are consistent throughout rather than increasing at the LPC stage, so the course offers a more accessible route to becoming a solicitor. On completion, you will carry out a period of work-based learning (currently called a training contract) under the supervision of a solicitor. Students completing the course, or those choosing to leave with a Qualifying Law Degree after three years, can also begin to train as a barrister. The general ethos of the course is one of integration of the academic and practical. In Years 1 and 2 you will cover the same core subjects as you would on a Qualifying Law Degree. Alongside these subjects you will study two modules, Legal Systems and Skills and 21st Century Law and Skills, which have been specifically designed for this course. In Year 3 you will build on the foundations provided in these preparatory skills modules to work on... [-]
