International relations is a field that deals with the relationships between large entities such as states, nations, multinational corporations and nongovernmental organizations. However, there tends to be a greater focus on big ideas such as terrorism and human rights.

Programme Overview The Master’s Programme in International Relations in Eurasia is a further development of our cooperation with the University of Kent (UK), it is unique in its structure, education methods and topics. The programme has been developed in partnership with the Department of International Relations and Politics and University College London (UCL). The programme includes a core group of courses in international relations and political science which are taught at the University of Kent, UCL and at the HSE (at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs), as well as two specialized modules in the final part of study involving some courses in international relations and world political economy and political science. The programme is administered by an international Academic committee which includes representatives from the University of Kent, UCL and the HSE. All students (Russian and international from partner universities and other countries) will study at the HSE (second year) and at the partner university in the UK (first year). The teaching is carried out in English. Graduates receive master’s degrees from both the HSE and one of the UK universities. The programme is aimed at preparing students to work in international business, politics and science. The basis of the programme is methods of complex analysis of political and economic problems and trends in international relations, as well as the study of the political and economic problems in some of the most important regions in the world.
