Master in International Economic History The Master in International Economic History is the only advanced degree of its kind in Switzerland. Firmly anchored in approaches and methods used in history, the programme nevertheless focuses significantly on other branches of the social sciences. The goal is threefold: to provide advanced and flexible training for careers in the public or private sector; to prepare students for advanced research in economic and social history, possibly even a PhD; and to enable students to teach at the secondary level. It should be noted that the geography stream allows students to include topics in human geography, such as borders, territoriality, land use planning and urban policy, in their curriculum.
