The program provides a strong formation for students looking to develop a critical understanding of the heritage of the Christian tradition and its contributions to contemporary society and culture through dialogue and service. Students will gain a broad, general knowledge of the Catholic theological tradition and the plurality of its expression, with the possibility of attaining a focused knowledge in a specific discipline or interdisciplinary theme.

The first program of its kind in Canada, the MA in Transformative Leadership and Spirituality offers a progressive, multidisciplinary approach to help you build your capacity as a leader for positive change. In this Master’s program, you will engage with the latest research on the intellectual, spiritual, personal, and professional dimensions of leadership.

The objective of the master’s program is to train specialists to counsel and guide couples or individuals with regard to their values, their spirituality, as well as both their individual and couple dynamics and to prepare graduates for a career in research.

The program is designed for students wishing to specialize in public ethics at the graduate level or to prepare themselves for doctoral work; for mid-career professionals wishing to reflect and build on their professional experience and previous studies and who may wish to advance their careers, make career changes or prepare for doctoral studies.

The Master of Theology degree is a post-graduate degree. This means an applicant is required to have already completed a master's degree in theological studies to be eligible to apply. The ThM (an advanced master's degree) is designed to provide the student with an advanced understanding of one area or discipline within the general context of the theological study, and the development of research methods and resources appropriate to the area or discipline chosen.

The Masters of Arts in Public and Pastoral Leadership recognizes the kinds of leaders that are needed for the changing nature of Christian communities and supports persons engaged in various forms of leadership, from congregations to social entrepreneurship, faith-based social services, NGOs, community-based development, mediation services and community-based justice initiatives.

The concentration in Spiritual Care is designed for those intending to pursue vocations as spiritual care practitioners in settings such as healthcare facilities, prisons and correctional facilities. This specialization has been designed to be in sync with the BC provincial government framework standards as well as the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care certification requirements. Within 24 months students can meet the BC standards requirements for a spiritual health practitioner.

The Master of Arts in Theological Studies degree program is for those wishing to develop further perspectives in theological thought for personal or professional enrichment, for those interested in further academic study, or for those seeking further development in their spiritual journey in relation to other professions.

The Master of Divinity and Master of Divinity by extension, degree programs are for those seeking an academic program with practical applications within which to explore the depth of their faith and prepare for a variety of public and pastoral ministries. VST’s Master of Divinity program is accepted for ordination by the Anglican, United and Presbyterian denominations in Canada and by the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America.

Offering graduate students an exceptional opportunity to explore and experiment with contemporary art, media, and design through engagement with history, theory, and criticism within curatorial practice. The Master of Fine Arts in Criticism & Curatorial Practice program offers graduate students an exceptional opportunity to explore and experiment with contemporary art, media, and design through engagement with history, theory, and criticism within curatorial practice. OCAD University’s distinctive program focuses uniquely on the practices of curating and criticism, leading to the Master of Fine Arts degree. Our graduate faculty and adjunct faculty include practicing curators and critics who bring deep intellectual and professional expertise to the studies of criticism and curatorial practice. OCAD University’s reputation for excellence entices internationally renowned authorities to its annual Artist-in-Residence program and assists students to establish programmatic internships in Canada and abroad. The MFA in Criticism & Curatorial Practice is a full-time, 60-credit program normally completed within two academic years or five sequential semesters. With the Program Director’s approval, some part-time students may be admitted with a more flexible completion schedule.

The Master of Arts in Christian Ministry (MACM) is a theological integration degree for Christian leaders, that offers theological training with a focus on integration for relevance in specific ministry contexts. The MACM program is embedded into the life of the church and is best suited to students who can regularly act and reflect in the context of a ministry setting. It is normally only offered to those who will be in active ministry roles for the duration of the program. The curriculum incorporates the opportunity to specialize in an area such as interdisciplinary theology, Chinese church ministry, and missional communities.

The Master of Pastoral Ministry (MPM) is a compressed pastoral training degree that covers essential biblical, theological, and ministry subjects, to make ministry training accessible. This course provides students with the opportunity to delve into the practical application of theological principles in a ministry context. Through a comprehensive curriculum, students will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to bridge the gap between theological understanding and its real-world impact. By equipping future pastoral leaders with the tools to integrate theology into their everyday ministry, this course ensures that ministry training is not only accessible but also deeply meaningful and relevant to the challenges of contemporary pastoral work.
