The Program “International protection of human rights” focuses on the study of international legal bases of human rights protection at the international, regional and national levels as well as on the activity of the human rights mechanisms of the UN system, on the regional systems of human rights protection, primarily, European, Inter-American and African human rights protection system.
The specialty of Law was established in 1996 at NSU. 50 students were accepted to full-time and part-time departments of Law specialty in the same year.
The Arab Master is a unique one-year cross-regional programme. It is an intensive advanced course on Human Rights and Democracy with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa. The programme spans over two semesters across the Arab World: one semester in Beirut and another in one of the partner Arab university.
