Food Sciences

A masters is the first level of graduate coursework and can be obtained after you receive a bachelor’s degree. Earning a masters usually requires two years of full-time study, which amounts to 36 to 54 semester credits.

Food sciences uses chemistry, microbiology, engineering, and biochemistry to help produce lasting, nutritious, and easily accessible food. Studying food sciences may help achieve a greater understanding of the development of food systems and how to create sustainable food resources for future generations.

Even if you choose East Africa’s mythological, enchanting Tanzania; Senegal, land of teranga or South Africa, with its wide opportunities to soak in and serve, research in Africa will be overwhelming.
