111 Masters Programs in Fine Arts
Generally, Fine Arts are understood as the most ancient forms of art. They include such fields as painting, sculpture, architecture, music and poetry. Being the first forms of art and having a great history that goes back thousands of years, they are considered to be the most developed.
The main difference between a Master in Fine Arts (MFA) and Master of Arts (MA) is that although Master of Fine Arts programs are academic programs, they concentrate on one particular field only. Programs that lead to the Master of Arts degree, on the other hand, usually center more on the scholarly and academic part of the field or concentrate on a critical study of the field. The degree Master in Fine Arts is usually given to graduates from such fascinating fields as visual arts, video and filmmaking, dance, theatre, performing arts, creative writing and many more. With a Master in Fine Arts, you can also choose to study printmaking, photography, conceptual arts, textile arts, as well as illustration, comics and calligraphy.
