The University Master's Degree in Comparative Literature is conceived as an initiation Master's Degree in Research in Literary Studies of European tradition. The Master is proposed as a way to specialize the already graduated student in the theoretical and methodological knowledge of Comparative Literature and in European literary studies. In the first dimension, with special emphasis on those theoretical-critical currents and methodological approaches of greater validity and current influence. In its development, the Master's study plan is conceived as a support for the historical knowledge of the European literary tradition through the study of various literary traditions in their interconnection, that is, as networks of fluid transversality and mutual influence.

European and Nordic studies (ENS) is an interdisciplinary master’s programme that takes you on a deep dive into current European and Nordic politics, societies, and cultures. It is intended for students who want to explore European issues and phenomena from various angles and understand the roots of current developments.

The programme focuses on European culture in the broad sense, including politics, history, geography, law and stresses Europe in the wider world.

Study the International Relations in 1 year, taking full advantage of Geneva’s unique situation as a world capital of multilateral diplomacy. Leads to managerial positions in international organizations, diplomatic services and the private sector (NGOs).

The master's programme provides knowledge and skills in a modern or classical language and culture.

The teaching program is affiliated to the three Faculties: Social Sciences, Law, and Humanities. The teaching language is English. In addition to basic and methodological courses as well as simulations, obligatory to all participants, the program offers five specialization tracks over a period of two years:

The Master in Eastern European Jewish Studies programs are by definition interdisciplinary, bringing together sources and methodologies in literary studies, linguistics, cultural and religious studies, history, ethnography, and sociology. Jewish studies are eminently international, providing students with an international exchange of ideas and experiences.  

The Master's track in European Literature and Interculturality is located at the Department of European Languages and Cultures. This international, interdisciplinary and multilingual environment offers excellent opportunities for research and immerses them in vibrant networks of experts across different European countries and languages. The following languages can be chosen as major languages: French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.

However, this view of international relations is constantly challenged and discussed. In European Studies, you will learn to analyze both the problems and the possibilities inherent in European collaboration – and in Europe in general. You will deal not only with EU institutions, but also with analyses of cultural, social, and political processes in Europe – and the question of what Europe really is.

A Master of Arts (MA) in Turkish Studies is a graduate-level program that focuses on the study of Turkish language, culture, history, and society. This program is designed for students who have a strong interest in Turkish culture and want to deepen their understanding of the country and its people.

In the unique two-year international joint Master’s programme in European Politics and Society (EPS) you will be able to study at four major European research universities in the cities of Prague, Leiden, Krakow and Barcelona.
