The startup sector in Spain has had a very important growth in recent years. Hundreds of startups are created each year in our country and, therefore, many investors and funders entrust their resources to the creation and growth of startups. In 2019, more than 1,000 million euros in investment in startups were exceeded in Spain, a figure that was almost double than in 4 previous years (in 2015), which was just over 500. There is also an important public commitment to startups facilitating financing to its promoters to launch their projects. The other side of the coin is in the failed projects. There is no reliable data in our country of how many startups survive, but we can assure with little risk of being wrong that about 70% do not pass the first phases. There are many reasons given for this failure rate: lack of financing, low demand, problems with the business model, etc. It is clearly a growing sector where one of the most important keys is the human factor. Startup creators have to make decisions on a daily basis and many times they do not have the necessary tools and knowledge to do so. That is the great challenge of this master's degree, to train the future creators of startups in this country. There are some similar training experiences but the practical approach, on the one hand, based on the personal experience of its promoters over the years, and the completely up-to-date content of the program, on the other hand, will make the program have a high degree of success. The subjects of the program have been selected from two points of view. In the first place, from the experience of what are the real needs and deficiencies that the promoters of startups in Spain have and the reasons for their successes. And, secondly, from the practicality of the contents and the methodology that will make the students have a much more consolidated startup project when they finish the master's degree.
