Master in Engineering Management and Logistics

The Master stems from a Ph.D. program that has been awarded a Quality distinction by the Spanish Education and Culture Ministry.

The Master qualifies for admission to the Ph.D. Program.

The increasing demand for engineers adequately trained in the field of management leads to the creation of this Master. Its aim is to complement the technological background that its students already have a strong preparation in the areas of organization and management specifically related to engineering.

This dual background (management and technology) prepares the candidates for management positions in the industrial and services sectors, with special focus on consultancy, particularly in areas such as purchasing, logistics, production, business process management, products, costs, maintenance and project management, as well as for R+D activities, preparing interested students for an eventual Ph.D. program.... STUDY ENGINEERING IN THE UK

Across The Pond partners with some of the top UK universities for engineering, across a variety of disciplines. The UK has long been a major contributor to the innovation of engineering, and students who study in the UK benefit from intensive learning, opportunities to find placements at major engineering companies, and a concentration on both academic skill and employability.

BENEFITS OF STUDYING ENGINEERING IN THE UK

Shorter courses: Most Master’s programs are only one year long. Students can obtain a degree in a shorter amount of time compared to studying in Latin America. Funding from Latin American countries for these subjects is also available. Focus: UK universities do not require general education courses; students will be focusing on engineering from Day 1! Employment opportunities: Many universities in the UK focus on having staff that are active in their fields, helping to provide an employability perspective and to generate learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Furthermore, many engineering courses offer the opportunity to take on a placement, whether as an additional year on their degree or as a short-term opportunity during their degree. Either way, UK engineering students graduate with readiness to work. ... [-]

The M03 MEng is for graduates who already hold an accredited BEng (either an OU BEng or from another institution).

The M03 MEng is a 480-credit integrated masters degree that extends students' undergraduate studies to postgraduate level. As a progression from undergraduate to postgraduate study must effectively be uninterrupted, the regulations say that it has to be completed within four years of the student's first degree. So if your BEng was obtained more than 2 years ago you may be better considering studying for our Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering followed by our MSc in Engineering, which have no such time limits.

After completing your first degree, you would complete a further 120 credits (if you are an OU BEng graduate) or 135 credits at postgraduate level (if you are a non-OU BEng graduate). If you are a non-OU BEng graduate, you will need to complete the 15-credit module T398 Towards chartership: professional development for engineers. However, if you have or are shortly expecting to gain chartered engineer status, then you may apply for an exemption from the requirement to do T398.... [-]
