The in-depth understanding of engineering is seen in varying degrees as a key success factor for the management of industrial enterprises. The program therefore combines the learning of management skills with training in the application of academic methods in the field of engineering sciences.STRUCTURE
The first semester includes three modules on the fundamental principles, methods and processes of engineering and simulation. In addition, students will select one from two focuses on Automation Technology (AT) or Production Technology (PT) and complete the Module on Photonic Systems or Production Management. In the second semester, students complete, depending on the focus, Modules on actuators and control technology as well as sensors and intelligent systems (AT) or production engineering and production logistics (PT). In a challenging educational research project, students deal in a team with practical issues, which can be clarified by interdisciplinary or subject-based reflection. In addition, a selection module for individual subject focus is available. In the third semester, students take modules corresponding to the focal points of their studies.
