In the Master’s Degree Programme the student will familiarize oneself with designing and applying of printed intelligence. The printed technique is utilized in more and more fields, such as construction, automotive and healthcare technologies. Printed intelligence is used e.g. in sensors, rapid diagnostics, control panels and smart clothes. Studies are mostly carried out online, with only one intensive period when contact teaching is organized at Kotkantie campus in Oulu. Overview Printed intelligence is one of the fastest developing areas in technology. In near future, many new applications in the fields of electronics, health, and medical technology as well as construction will utilize printed intelligence. With new technologies also new business opportunities emerge. This widens the career possibilities for the graduates of our Printed Intelligence programme. The printed intelligence is widely used in different branches of industries e.g. health and medical industries and construction engineering. Printed intelligence can be found in sensors, quick diagnostics and smart garments in e-textiles. Students will learn state-of-the-art developments and techniques used in printed intelligence. The graduates will have multidisciplinary skills to meet the needs of the companies especially in product development using the printed electronics manufacturing technologies. The practical approach to the subject ensures that students will learn to solve real-life problems. The Master thesis project focuses on pragmatic planning and implementation of development work for the company. Implementation of studies Studies are mostly carried out online with 1-3 intensive periods when contact teaching is organized at Oulu UAS in Oulu. The first intensive period of 2-3 days will be at the beginning of studies in January. In addition, one week contact teaching in Oulu is organized. The dates for the lasting two intensive periods will be published later. The master thesis project focuses on pragmatic planning and implementation of development work for the company. The project is closely related to the subject of advanced professional competencies in education. The beginning of the studies Spring 2019 Eligibility criteria Applicants must have Bachelor's or Master's degree completed before 28 December 2018. In addition, three years of field-specific work experience is required after the graduation. If the applicant has completed post-secondary or higher vocational level diploma in Finland in any field of education, the work experience between those diplomas and higher education is taken into consideration. -
