Master in Engineering DesignThe Master’s programme in Engineering Design educates engineers by promoting excellent technical and organisational skills in product development, engineering and design of complex and innovative products. Students of the programme will choose one of three specialisations: Machine Design, Mechatronics or Combustion Engines.Programme outlineThe programme is structured to enhance technical skills, as well as to give an introduction to various aspects of engineering design. The specialisations include a set of advanced courses which are compulsory and constitute two-thirds of the total course work.The first semester consists of basic courses in engineering design, modelling, programming (Mechatronics track), robustification (Machine Design track) and combustion technology (Combustion Engineering track). The second semester consists of advanced courses within your specialisation, and voluntary courses. During the third semester a large industrial project is the basis for an advanced course within your selected field. The programme concludes with a thesis project that can be performed in either an industrial setting or in an academic environment.
