Our Program The Masters of Engineering in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Power Engineering is available for students that have a BS in Electrical Engineering or from another engineering discipline. Requirements for the Masters of Engineering (ME) degree with a concentration in Electric Power are: Total of 30 graduate credits At least 6 electrical engineering courses, 4 of which are in the power engineering area 21-27 credits of course work 1-7 credits of ME project (option avail in Summer term) The Power Engineering concentration allows students the maximum flexibility to design their program of study to meet their specific needs. Sample options: Student A may wish to concentrate strictly in the power area, taking 7 power engineering courses and conducting a significant 7 credit hour project in the power area. Student B may wish to take 4 power engineering courses, 2 other engineering courses, 3 business courses and a 1 credit hour project. Students select a faculty advisor to serve as both academic advisor and ME project advisor. The student should also select an industrial mentor for the project. The extent of the ME project will be appropriate for the number of project credits selected. The project topic will be selected through mutual agreement of the student, mentor, and advisor.
