The course has a wide variety of modules designed to suit teachers, teacher trainers, managers, administrative and service personnel and opportunities to research specialist areas. Course content: Educational Theories and Perspectives. Educational Enquiry. Researching a Professional Environment. You will also choose from a number of electives. Learning and Assessment Assessments will include critiques, research proposals, research-based assignments, seminars, case studies, action-research projects, critical analyses, reflective accounts and presentations. The module assessments are intended to develop the students’ practical knowledge and theoretical understanding of their subject and of education contexts. Career and progression opportunities Graduates are likely to commence doctorate level study or and will be equipped to engage in research activity in the sector. This course supports career progression for those moving into management roles, seeking more senior roles in education or considering a move into teacher education roles. Entry requirements This is a post-graduate qualification and we would expect all applicants to hold an honours degree in an appropriate area or substantive experience which has been assessed as equivalent.
